Anything that I said was from the Archive was from when I used my old account, and is also posted there. So much has changed about DA since then (though maybe it's just the same, and I notice the imperfections more). It's rare that someone gives an intricate comment, and nowadays people are even lucky if their art gets viewed. It wasn't so before.
That doesn't really explain why I disabled comments, but I decided to. I didn't want such pieces of my past to be subject to one-liners. If anyone had anything really meaningful to say, they would be able to send me a note, as I suggested in my journal.
Hopefully putting "Advanced Critique Encouraged" on my future pieces will be enough. Though I don't plan to have many.
Yeah, I see what you mean. It does actually annoy me when all people say is "NICE" or "" or something equally stupid. I've disabled comments on some things.
